Antonius von Borcke

Antonius von Borcke advises entrepreneurs, family-owned businesses and international organizations on succession and top management appointments, as well as on negotiation, leadership and transformation processes. He also supports shareholders and business-owning families on matters of family governance and the shaping of their ownership role. In doing so, he brings a distinctive perspective to strategic decision-making, the interplay of differing interests, and work in international and intercultural contexts.

He has many years of experience advising on demanding decision-making and negotiation situations at top-management level. Prior to joining AvS Advisors, Antonius von Borcke was a Principal at Egger Philips, a boutique advisory firm holding an exclusive license from Harvard University. There, he was responsible for international projects for boards and executive management teams, as well as for the owners of law firms and management consultancies. He also led training programs and workshops around the world on professional negotiation and conflict management. Previously, he practiced as a lawyer in sophisticated commercial, corporate and real estate matters. Earlier stages of his career included roles at Accenture Strategy and in the German Bundestag. In addition, he served as a lecturer at the University of St. Gallen and led seminars within the “Certified Global Negotiator” program.

Antonius von Borcke gained international experience during a two-year program in foreign trade management at Mercedes-Benz in Hong Kong. He is also involved with the Center for Multilateral Negotiations (CEMUNE), where he prepares international delegations for multilateral negotiations such as the UN Climate Change Conference (COP).
