Stefan Rupp

Stefan Rupp advises companies in the media and communications sector as well as in consumer and industrial goods during phases of growth, succession, and strategic realignment. His mandates focus on the selection and development of leadership personalities in family businesses, start-ups, and portfolio companies of financial investors. A particular emphasis lies in the search and evaluation of managing directors and board members, as well as management potential assessments.
Before joining AvS Advisors, Stefan Rupp served as Senior Manager People and Culture at the corporate holding of Axel Springer, where he supported the Executive Board in the appointment and assessment of top management positions. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Senior Consultant for two international executive search firms. He is a certified user of psychometric assessment tools such as Hogan and has extensive experience in moderating demanding board and committee settings.
Stefan Rupp studied International Affairs at the University of St Gallen (HSG) and at the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po), earning a Master of Arts from both institutions. In his free time, he enjoys sports, spending time with his family, volunteering, and, as a Swiss native, mountain hiking.
