Frederik Otto, based in London, advises Chairs, CEOs, and their leadership teams on preparing boards for uncertain futures, bringing a distinctive perspective to board performance reviews, leadership development, and board search assignments.
Frederik is recognised internationally for his expertise in modern board leadership amid global issues, serving as Chair and previously as Executive Director of The Sustainability Board – a non-profit institute dedicated to advancing sustainable leadership and corporate governance. Since 2019, Frederik has led extensive research and engagement on board-level future preparedness and leadership. This work is used or cited by organisations such as Bain, IMD, the University of Cambridge, and the Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance. Before joining AvS Advisors, Frederik was a Director at AccountAbility, an advisory firm and issuer of non-financial reporting standards. He also held leadership roles at The Adecco Group including Global Head of Client ESG & Advisory, and Vice President APAC.
Frederik is a fellow of Salzburg Global, a member of Chapter Zero, and a member of the Council for Inclusive Capitalism. He holds a diploma in Business Administration from IHK in Germany, and earned the CORe credential from Harvard Business School. He has also completed the Oxford Strategy Programme at Saïd Business School, and the High Impact Leadership Programme at Cambridge University.
