The fifty-year-old physicist and business economist has made a name for herself in particular in political consulting – most recently as head of the government affairs department at Siemens. She stands for a new leadership culture and governance that has long-term impact and creates added value both for companies as well as for the wider society and stakeholders. For example, her initiative for better cybersecurity – “Charter of Trust” – launched at Siemens has had a lasting impact, placing people at the centre of successful, data-driven business models and digitally networked organizations. Eva Schulz-Kamm sees particular opportunities for successful transformations in family businesses with a long-term focus and interconnected operations. Eva Schulz-Kamm began her career as an innovation manager at the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft and as a department head at MVV Energie AG and the Economic Development Agency Brandenburg. She then moved to Berlin as a civil servant in the strategy department of the Federal Ministry of Research, where she was particularly involved in the promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises. Later, she moved into policy consulting, representing the interests of the 100,000 innovative and research-intensive member companies at the DIHK, and then headed the policy departments at semiconductor manufacturer NXP Semiconductors in Hamburg and industrial conglomerate Siemens AG in Munich and Berlin.
