Philipp Fleischmann, based in Berlin and Frankfurt, serves clients mainly in Media & Communications, Consumer, Food and Industrial goods. This includes both privately held (family) businesses, digital start-ups and financial investors / private equity, focusing on C-suite and Board searches as well as Management Potential Analysis (MPA) / management appraisals. Based on his background of experience, he also advises clients in transformation situations with a focus on digitization and communications.
Before joining AvS – International Trusted Advisors, Philipp was a consultant with two bigger search firms and headed the German Consumer & Retail practice at Egon Zehnder. Prior to that, he held several managerial positions at leading publishing groups, including Group Managing Director Electronic Media and Managing Director for the English edition of Handelsblatt in the Handelsblatt Media Group. A journalist by training, he began his career as Editor for DIE WELT (Axel Springer Verlag). Today, he serves as a Board Member on several advisory boards.
Philipp earned degrees in Modern History and Economics from the universities of Munich and Berlin. He is passionate about outdoor activities, spending time with his family and being a member of “Historiker in Berlin”, a discussion group of historians and scientists.
